ISBIS6 Conference (2007)

ISBIS 6 was a satellite meeting to the 56th Session of the International Statistical Institute in Lisbon. It was held in the island of Azores Sao Miguel at Ponta Delgada during August 18-20, 2007.

Prof. Franciso J. Samaniego from Univ of California, Davis was the program chair. The local organiser was Helena Bacelar Nicolu from Univ of Lisbon.

It provided a forum for presenting and exchanging ideas in statistical methods applicable to business, finance, and industry. Talks ranged from very applied to cutting edge research. The exchange of knowledge and experiences fostered international collaboration in research and other technology transfer activities. It provided also an opportunity for dialogue between statisticians working in business, finance and industry, and academia.
